FE funding derided

Problems with new course development, student enrolment and staff training are hobbling FE’s ability to prepare people for new-technology industries, a New Engineering Foundation (NEF) report has said. Professor Sa’ad Medhat, NEF chief executive, said: “This demonstrates an urgent need for changes to the funding and structure of the FE sector. There are many talented and hard-working people whose efforts are being undermined by a system that is not equal to the task.”
