Delegates and guests of the New Engineering Foundation took part in the annual Parliamentary Links Day at the House of Commons last week (26 June). The event brings leading representatives of the scientific and engineering communities together to raise awareness of current scientific issues, challenges and opportunities in government and parliament. NEF's delegation included leading figures from industry,education and research. Other organisations represented at the event included the Society of Biology, the Royal Society, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Physics and Royal Society of Chemistry.
MPs thanked NEF and the other participants in an early day motion noting the success of the event in creating a better understanding of science in the economy and society.
