The STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) sectors are key economic and social drivers for the UK, and are crucial to ensure that we meet the global technological challenges that lay ahead such as climate change, low carbon economy, infrastructure renewal, clean water and population growth. Changes in STEM technologies continue apace and it is vital that the FE sector remains abreast of these both from a technological point of view, and from being one of the key producers of the next generation of scientists and engineers.
This conference will highlight the importance of STEM provision in Colleges and explore how delivery can be supported and developed. Leading experts will outline the growth areas of STEM within Colleges, the career opportunities for young people with STEM qualifications, and showcase the wide range of support that is available to support delivery in Colleges.
