An Energetic Masterclass at EDF Energy
The Nuclear Energy Masterclass, which was hosted at EDF Energy Campus in Bridgwater on 11th November 2014, covered the latest in nuclear energy training and skill requirements. The event looked at innovations within the energy sector and the impact on future requirements for training and development in this area. The Masterclass included a session on how FE Colleges can ensure their provision address the skill needs arising from the development of the new Hinkley Point C nuclear power station. The EDF Energy Campus team showcased different ways of learning using new technologies. Delegates received a guided tour around the Hinkley point B nuclear power station where they were shown the existing nuclear power generation processes. The day provided resources and ideas for immediate use in teaching and proved very successful with FE lecturers. The Masterclass will be re-run next year on 29th April 2015 -
