Over 30 Chiefs from engineering, construction, information technology, rail, transportation, energy, telecommunication, pharmaceuticals, food, biosciences and financial services were united on a common theme of innovation to drive growth.
Many companies look to FE Colleges as key providers of skills and competency development to support innovation at different levels. However, they consider the innovation capability of the FE sector to be underdeveloped. It should be maximised through interventions to improve culture and the way they engage with employers.
NEF has established an Innovation Enablement Programme to support the FE sector in strengthening its capability and to grow its capacity to drive economic development.
