26 March – Power Industry Training Masterclass with Lincoln University. The Engineering Hub is the first purpose-built school of Engineering to be created in the UK for more than 20 years. This Masterclass will offer you a chance to see the new Engineering Hub at Lincoln University and the training centre for Siemens. Facilities on show include large industrial gas 5-15MW turbines and advanced manufacturing equipment like 3-D printing and laser machinery. Read more here

8 May – Innovative Workshop Skills with Axminster Tool & Machinery. Axminster Tool & Machinery is the UK market leader in the mail order tools and machinery industry. At this Masterclass the company will be demonstrating industry standard and educational tools to support colleges in ensuring their facilities for engineering, construction, furniture and product design, food production and so on, are up-to-date and their teaching of practical skills is fit-for-purpose. 23 May – Skills for Aerospace with Marshall Aerospace & Defence Group. The space industry in the UK is a small but growing sector - highly specialist and demanding of good technical skills. This event held at the Marshall AeroAcademy offers a chance to see aviation technologies up-close. The day will include an update on training in the sector and the collaborative approach by key employers, such as FlyBe and Virgin Atlantic, in developing joint working on the skill-sets that are fundamental to the industry.
