The NEF Briefing held on 14 October at the Royal Society saw industry, education and government come together to discuss the Skills for the Low Carbon Economy. The event provided an overview of recent research and policies introduced and gave principals and senior mangers from the FE sector the chance to hear what skills development opportunities existed in the Low Carbon arena.
Exciting presentations from Jonathan Mackey from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, and Gordon McGregor from Scottish Power, amongst others illustrated the implications of the Low Carbon economy and what this means for technical skills development.
